Have you ever wished you could join an old-fashioned sewing circle? While we may not be able to meet face to face, modern technology allows us to come together via Facebook’s “fan pages.” Anyone who “likes” the Grandma’s Sewing Cabinet fan page is allowed to post messages on the fanpage’s “wall.” It isn’t like traditional message boards but feel free to start your own conversation on the wall.
My vision for The Sewing Circle is the same as the email version I used facilitate (with the help of a whole lot of people):
Just like traditional sewing circles, we are a group of diverse women who gather together because of our common enjoyment of sewing. While we talk a lot about sewing, our conversations are not strictly limited to sewing. We have encouraged, celebrated and supported each other through many adventures that life throws our way.
Note: There used to be a traditional discussion forum here on this website but spam became an issue so I “moved” the discussion to Facebook.
