Actually, Kathy at Back Porch Blessings gave me this award wayyyyyyyyyyyy back in January and I’ve been rather remiss in paying it forward. I appreciate Kathy’s recognition and comment that she has learned from my efforts here.
As part of the process, I need to identify 7 more blogs who deserve this award. You all know that I follow Carolyn Norman Diary of a Sewing Fanatic, but she has already won this award so I want to showcase other blogs that I enjoy.
Some of these blogs are not about sewing specifically but I would categorize them as embracing homemaking as a creative process similar to what I was describing the other day in my “Feminine Arts” post. Also, most of the blogs are written by Grandma’s Sewing Cabinet readers.
Nutmeg at Material Mama
Everyone at Sew Retro
Karen at Little House in the Prairie
Kathy at Homestead Happenings
Donna at My Year 1955
Terri at Terri’s Atelier (More posts, please–you’re a good teacher)
Betty at Future Wardrobe (limited number of posts but I love the lists)
These 7 bloggers will be notified of their nominations and if accepted these are the Rules and Responsibilities of the award–
1. Copy the award to your site.
2. Link to the person from whom you received the award.
3. Nominate 7 other bloggers.
4. Link to those on your blog.
5. Leave a message on the blogs you nominated.

I’m stunned! Haha – How fun:-) Thank you Julie-ann.
You deserve it!

I guess I goofed! I mostly sent email messages rather than posting the message on the blog. Sorry about that!
Thank you, Julie! I’m heading up north in a couple of hours to clean and cook for my Dad this weekend, but I’ll definitely follow up on this early next week. What a lovely surprise! You are such a sweetheart, Julie-Ann! And again, I love your podcast and your blogs!
Readers are always welcome at the homestead, and I’m delighted that you found our musings worthy of mentioning. I admit upfront that I couldn’t fulfill the responsibility of the award.
Thank you Julie! Like you said, I’m not posting much these days but I hope people find my lists helpful (or at least fun!)
I found your blog on google and read a few of your other posts. I just added you to my Google News Reader. Keep up the good work. Look forward to reading more from you in the future.
