Here is me wearing my outfit (My Honey decided he needed better lighting-hence the light on the stool):

Don’t I look cheerful??

I used the top from Simplicity 5348 and the skirt from Simplicity 4773. This is definitely a keeper!
Now onto Friday Finds…Lingerie
Am I the only one who thinks paying $25 for panties (that’s per not in a packet) is a bit outrageous? And, trying to find a full-slip that doesn’t scream “matronly” is next to impossible (unless you want to get a “chemise” from a certain store that likes to keep secrets but the chemises don’t seem go beyond my bum, so what is the point?? Oh, yeah… that is where the “secret” part comes into the name of the store…)
I have ordered lingerie supplies from all of these stores and can highly recommend them all. Now, I know MacPhee Workshop isn’t technically a lingerie supply source, but I love to make pajamas out of their Kasha Satin. It is like flannel lined satin. I can’t figure out how to do a direct link but look under linings and interfacings. Anyway, I first discovered Kasha Satin when I was living in New Jersey and even though I’m in Los Angeles, I still love how snuggly warm it is on those frigid nights when the temps drop down into the upper 50′s *Brrrrr*
Anne St. Claire from Needle Nook Fabrics teaches sold-out workshops at the American Sewing Guild convention, so you know she knows her stuff. And, as an aside, tell her I sent you. She was part of the Sewing Circle that helped me get through graduate school!
I haven’t ordered from the other two sites for a while but that is only because my lingerie is still going strong. Some of the slips I made are ten years old! I’m wearing one now! And what I loved about ordering from them was that I could get lingerie fabric in all sorts of colors! I wasn’t limited to black, white, or beige.
Break free from overpriced lingerie! Make your own! It will be our own little secret

Looks very good on you. Love the shoes you selected it brings attention to your gorgeous wine bottle legs! However, I am a little confused, did you merge two pieces to make a dress or can I just not see the top is actually separate from the skirt?
Thanks, Ingrid! The top is actually separate from the skirt.
